Mike Wilkins co-founded Kingsford Capital Management, one of the best-regarded short only firms that has $250 million in assets. Kingsford Capital is known for hosting what it calls an annual “short seller’s Woodstock” at the San Francisco Giants ballpark each July,  where 100 investors bat around short ideas as well as baseballs.

Mike also has been a screenwriter, author, and artist. His artwork, Preamble, is currently displayed at the Smithsonian American Art Museum as part of their permanent collection.  He produced and co-wrote The Independent, a 2000 comedy starring Jerry Stiller and Janeane Garofalo, and wrote Birch Street Gym, a live-action short nominated for an Academy Award in 1991.  He co-wrote Roadside America, a guidebook of off-beat tourist attractions now available online.  Mike is a minority owner of the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers and the NBA’s Golden State Warriors.
